IAHL Mission Statement

The International Alliance of Holistic Lawyers' mission is to transform the practice of law, through education and support of holistic practice.

Our Vision

The IAHL envisions a world where lawyers are valued as healers, helpers, counselors, problem-solvers, and peacemakers.  Conflicts are seen as opportunities
for growth.  Lawyers model balanced lives and are respected for their
contributions to the greater good.

2009 Collaborative Training

The theme of the 2008 conference held in Plymouth , Michigan , was Authentic Lawyering:  Practicing from the Heart.  It was an exceptional experience—not just informational, but transformational for some, and definitely fun for all.  Attendees made new connections with others and deepened those that already existed.  And, as is always the case, new attendees said, “And I thought I was alone!”  One new person, after noting the no-suits-and-ties tradition, the openness, the frequent laughter, and two nights of dancing, stated that she wanted to see some bar cards for confirmation we really do practice law.
